Forest Heights Students Show Life Skills During Amazing Shake Competition
Date Created:
Thirty-five students in grades 2-5 at Forest Heights Elementary School competed to see who had the best handshake and most professional presentation during the school’s inaugural “Amazing Shake” competition. The event was held at the school Thursday, March 28.
The competition is based off of the Global Amazing Shake competition hosted by the Ron Clark Academy. Each student went through what Forest Heights Principal Jason Koepke called "The Gauntlet," a series of 13 stations where students interacted with a business or community leader serving as a guest judge. Judges then scored students based on handshake firmness, eye contact, confidence and common sense.
